I offer a three hour professional training workshop for carers groups, care home staff, Museum and Archive services, health care providers, voluntary groups and other interested organisations.
The training workshop is very interactive and participants are given the tools needed in order to start creating their own memory kits including suggestions of themes, health & safety issues, how and where to buy resources and prompts on how to write and use a ‘conversation starter’ handbook.
A three hour workshop costs £150 plus travel and includes handouts and an opportunity to try out a selection of readymade cases during the event. This workshop is also suitable for conferences and can be adapted to suit the conference agenda.
I offer a one hour ‘how to’ workshop to organisations such as the WI, Church groups, Friends groups, Dementia friends and interested clubs. The workshop covers the basic skills needed to create a simple personalised memory kit and how to use the finished kit.
A one hour workshop costs £50 plus travel and includes handouts and an opportunity to try out a selection of readymade cases during the event.
I am a Dementia Friends Champion, an Alzheimer’s Society initiative, and am available to deliver FREE one hour dementia friends information sessions to local groups and organisations. This opportunity can be added to the training workshops at no extra cost.
I offer an advisory service to heritage organisations who wish to improve their service to visitors living with dementia and their carers. I can help you to become a dementia friendly organisation that provides a range of inclusive opportunities for all your visitors.
